Purpose

I am starting this blog, not only because it is a requirement for my writing class, but also because it will broaden my writing horizons.  I am new to this genre so it will be a nice opportunity for me to get some experience with a more modern form of writing that will be needed as I pursue a degree in teaching.  As a writer, I tend to lack creativity which makes fictional and other creative pieces more challenging.  I am much better at getting straight to the point and using words to communicate exactly what I need to.  I also tend to be a more visual learner so I’m hoping to use lots of media throughout the blog.  

As part of my writing class requirements, I will do two blog posts per week.  One prompted post, where the topic is already chosen, and one free write post, where I can write about anything I want related to education.
